About Us
Where we started
Rebel Road started in a backyard in 1998, after Jason’s dad came home with a 1947 International, as a father-son project. Jason IMMEDIATELY became obsessed with building hotrods, and unknowingly had an incredible knack for it. He told his dad he wanted to open a Hot Rod Shop one day. His dad surprised him by naming his “Hot Rod Shop” after the street they lived on “Rebel Road,” and painted “Rebel Road Hot Rod Garage” on the doors of the 1947 International.
Rebel Road Rebirth
Fast forward 22 years. We find ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic. Jason and Joalda were soon to be wed summer of 2020. However, after being furloughed and wedding canceled. We had to go back to our roots and use the trade of building Hot Rods to survive a global pandemic. Not soon after did we decide to invest all we had in "Rebel Road Hot Rod Garage." We began operation in our backyard in a 30'x70' shop. 3 months following our debut we grew into our current 4,500 sqft shop located in Los Ranchos.
What's Next?
We have big plans for Rebel Road. We hope to be the generation that keeps classic cars and stories, like Jason's alive and well. We have a strong team and an even stronger passion. Thank you for your support!
